Health & Safety

To our community
We have fully reopened in Dundee! We are already booking and filling up the studio with the sounds we love--happy clients and creatives getting back to doing what they do best.
Thank you so much for your patience while we locked down and developed our safety plan to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We’ve been restructuring, cleaning and innovating new ways to work together so that everyone stays safe. Ask about our live remote screen sharing option as well. Our staff have had new training and are following new protocols.
Our Mission
River Side Studios are committed to our clients’ safety and success. That means that our employees, and our work practices, are all focused on making sure that however you work with us--at our studio, on location, or remotely--we are keeping both you and our team safe and healthy. We are here to make sure we continue to provide the highest level of service in the industry without compromising on safety. With that said, here are our promises to you, following the best practice guidelines and government advice. We will also be updating all of our procedures as new information becomes available, so check back in for updates.
How we are protecting you
- We temperature check daily
- We sanitise common area touchpoints & surfaces morning, night and between shoot’
- We sanitise all equipment and digital items on the studio floor and before they are returned to our inventory
- Dedicated PPE bins are located throughout the studios so discarded masks, gloves & wipes can be carefully managed
- Hand sanitisers are available to use in all areas of the office and studios
- We quarantine all incoming deliveries for 72 hours & sanitise returns before shipping
- Our team walk or cycle to the studios. No public transport is taken.
- Socially distant floor making in studios
Remote live viewing
Our efficient remote setup is the safest and simplest way to shoot from home. We have set up cameras and live feeds so that you can remotely be part of the shoot. Viewing the photographer’s capture screen allows you to view the images being taken in real-time and discuss the creative directly with them. The studio will also have a microphone and webcam so the health checked team and talent on set can interact with you and answer any questions you may have
Arriving at the studios
- If you are unable to take advantage of the remote live shoot option above, you may visit the studios in person once you have signed the health & safety contract and undergo a health & temperature screening before entering the studio
- Before entry, all guests are asked to use our hand sanitiser station located inside the main entrance
- If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you
- We ask that you wear a mask at all times within the studios and internal common areas
Temperature checks
Please do not come to the studio if you have a fever, are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, or have come in contact with someone presumed to be infected.
- Arrivals might be asked to do a lateral flow Covid-19 test on arrival at the studios. Please make sure to get to the studios 30 minutes in advance to conduct the test if you were notified in the call sheet. Advice might vary depending on product size, so please follow the production advice and speak to your production manager.
- We will check your temperature with a non-contact thermometer. If you present fever of 37.5°c or higher you will not be allowed to enter and we will notify your shoot’s producer. Following government guidelines, after you’ve been able to rest for 15 mins, we will re-check your temperature. If it is still high, you will not be allowed access and it’s advised that you get tested.
